I know, cheesy title. But it's finally snowing! So of course I'm not going outside like this, but I wanted to show me new leather jacket! I never would buy a leather jacket. Suddenly I thought maybe I should look around for a nice, not cheap looking (!) jacket. I potted this one on a mannequin at Zara. I tried it on a felt so cool! Haha :') So yep I just had to take it. The bag and the barrett are also new!

A few of my favorite looks from the new collection from SIS by Spijkers en Spijkers. Spijkers en Spijkers is founded by two Dutch sisters. Their head office is still in the Netherlands so I would absoluty love to do my next internship there. Talking about internship, I'm done! I was looking forward to have my spare time again but today saying goodbye to everyone I felt kinda sad about leaving! Looking back I had a great time there and I'm defiantly going back again.

The end of 2011 is near so I thought it would be nice to look back. You've probably seen this on a lot of blogs but how cares, it still fun!

1: In January I found my dads old camera, still haven't develop the film ^^'

2: My sister moved out so I made outfits in her empty room that soon turned it to mine.

Last week I did some thrift shopping on my day off. I found this grandpa blazer, which is the second blazer I got there that aquatically fits right. Sometimes it seems only obese people bring their clothes there. Also got a adorable skirt with daisy's on it. I think the length is really pretty this way but I'm not sure how or even I will wear it. Any ideas? Or should I make it shorter?

Yeah buddy! I've got a new camera! I was saving up for a new one but then I found this one for the half the money I was willing to spend. It's second hand and a bit older but it does the job perfectly.

I spotted a Louis Vuitton blouse in the Dutch Elle that I really liked. I liked the basic white blouse with big shiny buttons. A real LV blouse is a bit out of my budget so I made a little rip off. The blouse is from the thrift store, I choose one with blind closure. I don't know if that's the right word for it but it's pretty clear on the photos. I still had some big glittery buttons, I sewed them on and tadaaa a new blouse! I think it turned out pretty well.
And yay finally time for blogging! I spend the weekend at my boyfriends since his birthday is next Tuesday. And last weekend I celebrate a birthday of a friend, I made her a cake, had a milkshake and went to 'Holy stitch' a market full of handmade and vintage stuff. The market is in an old prison so all the cells a turned in little shops. It's was really fun and a inspiring.maybe I'll be there next year too!

The deadlines are over at my internship so there is not really much to do for me. So yesterday the gave me the afternoon off. :D Finally daylight! First I visited some shops where I hadn't been in ages, I spotted really pretty shoes and a lovely jumper at H&M but didn't bought them! I'm really proud :D. After my window shopping I went home and made a few shots with my new coat and scarf! I bought it a while ago with my mom. On my wish list I had a big knitted scarf but this one go's so much better with the coat, even tho it's a bit cold :x

I'm listening non stop to the new Florence and the machine album, it took a while for her second album but it's so worth it. She fucking brilliant.

Okay I tried it before but now I really need to stop spending money. These are the only items I going to buy until the end of February. The dress is from Monki, I saw it Amsterdan last week and felt so sad not buying it because I didn't have any money to spend. The loafers are from Sascha and a bit expensive so I probaly going to wait for the sale. A Canon 550D, I hope I can save money for this because it's been on my list far too long. And the last thing is a scarf that matches my new coat, this one is from Monki. Wish me luck!

Coat & wallet: Pull & Bear

Since I couldn't find the Zara coat from this post I started to look for an other coat. I'm glad I didn't find that Zara coat, it's now in the online shop and he looks so different than on the campaign photo, ugly is an understatement. I visited the online shop from Pull & Bear, I really liked the store in Antwerp so maybe they had the perfect coat for me. And yes they had. It's a bit over sized but the texture of the coat makes me love it even more when I wear it. Also ordered a new wallet with it since my other one fell apart. Even though I have enough old wallets laying around I still needed a new one. I love wallets.

Remember my long hair? I got a bit bored with it and always being messy so that why I cut if off! (Well I didn't, the hairdresser did) It's been this short for a 3 weeks now, didn't had the time for some proper photos. I don't miss my long hair at all! Maybe next time I even go a bit shorter.

I was looking online for a new pair of fall/winter boots. When I checked the Zara site I saw the TRF
fall/winter campaign and oh my, look at that coat. The colors, the fit is really what I like. It's a bit a boyfriend coat and I don't know if thats the right shape for me but I really want to try it!
My roommate bought a SLR and we tried it out yesterday, she had a homework assignment and I wanted outfit shots (: But first I have to sort them out because we took a bit more than 400 photos..

I'm back from Antwerp! I didn't had any time for a post before I was leaving, moving is really a lot of work and stress full. So a few days in an other city was a good choice. I've never had been to Antwerp before but I really want to go there again. We only had one and a half day to explore the city but we did saw a lot.

On the first two photos you can see the most beautiful station I've ever seen from the in and outside. On the third photo you can see the entrance to China Town. With the best supermarkets everrr. I bought the cookies there on the fourth photos. Bit sad I didn't bought more of them.

We had falafal in a Jewish neighbourhood (fifth photo). Never seen so much Jewish people in traditional clothing in my life. After falafel we even visited a museum. We went to the MHKA. They were working on two floors so their wasn't that much to see.

New coat! I kinda needed a rain coat since I live in Holland and almost rains here every day. I went for the parka but I didn't want a green one. I found this one at Ebay and it's perfect. An other outfit! Sorry for the angry face, it's the sun.. Maybe I should wear my sunglasses more. This outfit is a bit of 'all-my-favoirte-items-at-the-moment' The Monki top is so lovely a easy to combinate. I rediscoverd the skirt that I bought last year at a fleamarket, a great length. And ofcourse my Asos wedges I bought for my birthday. For really high heels the're pretty comfortable.

Look what I got in the mail last week! Yes this dress :D It's fits perfectly and I got it really cheap and I really like that! All thrifted

Last week I had a quick visited at the thriftstore and my mom. It's really the best thriftstore everrr! They always have something nice, a slik shirt with the tages still on it!

On my birthday I went to a wedding from my boyfriend cousin, I had a great time. The reception was really nice (: Didn't bring my camera because it's just to big :(

Tomorrow I'm going to Amsterdam because really really really wanted to go to the Monki again, I saw so many nice things on their webshop I just needed to go there. :D

My mom used my walk in closet/room as a storage for her stuff for a few weeks. Today she finally cleaned it up so I used the room for a few shots. But I'm still using my boyfriend camara and we don't really get along I only get really dark or overexposed photos. Well hopefully only a few weeks untill I get my own camera back.

I can't believe that my birthday is already next week! Time goes really really fast. I bought a dress on a secondhand site, yes I'm a poor student. And new wedges in the Asos sale!

I dont know how all people haven't got mental health problems, thinking is one of those stressful things i've ever come across.

I had a blast at the liberation festival! Kate Nash was amazing, she looked amazing wearing a big white jumpsuit. She jumped into the crowd and came really close! I didn't see anything else really, only 2 performes from theather students. Wich were pretty fun to watch.

I visited with my boyfriend 'Aqua Zoo' last Monday and it's pretty fun! I got free tickets from my work (: The penguins were my favorite! And all the little monkeys even do it was a bit scary that they just hanging around outside their caves.

..with a friend and we bought A LOT. We couldn't control ourselfs but I'm really happy with the things I bought. So here they are:

I really wanted a round mirror but couldn't find one until last week! And only for €2,- (: Also a cute pillow and photo album.

To many bags.. The big brown one is also a bikebag, really handy :D The grey is a new one but I did bought it at the thriftstore. A little yellow bag, two little clutches (I couldn't choose) and a blue belt with a bow!

Levi jeans, I'm going to turn them into shorts and a cute top.

Okay this jacket is maybe a bit to big but I just had to have it! The sleeves are amazing. And I'm already looking forward to fall so I can wear it :D It's amazing right?

An other outfit from last week when the weather was lovely. I'm wearing my new shorts from H&M and new flats from River Island that I bought during my schooltrip to Amsterdam 2 weeks ago. The shorts are already a favorite.

We have to make clothing for play in June! It's a pretty big assignment for first years students but it's really fun. I'm really curious to see the end results!

Red. The color of my jumper and of my hair! I dyed it red again. I missed it. Friday my class had catwalk tranining because in April we have a show on a vintage market where we have show our outfit we made out of old materials. I was one of the four best walkers (: The four had to wear really long skirts and show the rest how to walk. Haha it was pretty fun.

I'm looking for a great pair of heels. I saw great ones at Forever 21 but they sold out in my size >< Also saw really pretty ones at Mod Cloth but the shipping cost are just a high as the shoes! Since the weather is so lovely lately I thought it would be a good time to get all my sunglasses out of my closet. Most of them are thrifted and now when I look at the photo I even think the're a few ones missing!

I have a party from my work coming up and that's always a good excuse for a new dress! I saw this one from Oasis in sale and thought it was so cute. The peter pan colar and the bright red color is just adorable.

My walk in closet is almost done and I orderd a dress at H&M for a wedding but I don't know, I've been thinking a lot about stopping with my blog. This is what I wore to school today. My time to finish my to do list is over and I didn't finished even half of it, I'm so good at planning.. On the last photo you can see a little preview of my walk-in closet/work room. When everything is ready I'll post photos, everything is such a mess now.

I went to the thriftstore to get some stuff for a school assignment but I couldn't help myself for looking at all the other clothes. I found this jumper, it reminds of a jumper that H&M sells and it's has a perfect red color. And this 70's cropped top wich also reminds of H&M, the new conscious collection.

Usually I never check the trousers section but this time I did and found these velvet trousers, a mint green one and a deep red one. I'm not a fan of trousers so I made shorts of them!

I look so angry and tired but it's Sunday so you can't blame me. I did my first thing of my to do list! I made a GTL bag : D I had to, it's such a good show. Also I'm wearing heels! And I did a few things for school, it's going well.

Kunstbende went great! We got third place out of 8! We had a small collection but I'm still really proud we made it only 5 days and still got third place. It was inspired by the peachcock as you can see. The day was really fun, looking at other shows and preparing for the show. There were a lot photos and videos made the day but there not online yet but if I find more I will show your more, these are ones my boyfriend made. So now I can start catching up my school work, more blogging and watch Jersey Shore again (I loveeee Pauly D). But I really want to do more stuff like this. It feels good to win something : D

Yesterday I also had a little school trip to an old prisson. You can rent a cell their and use it as an studio/workplace/shop. I didn't really look like a prisson anymore because the inside was painted with bright colors but I still felt a bit weird. My school is going to rent the old fitnessroom to use as a workplace. We had a tour in the building and all the workplaces, one women made really cool stuff out old plastic, paper and and a lot more. I saw really cute bags with newspaper print and cute sandels! But it's was a little bit to expensive for me but I made some photos (:

And a bit fashion news! I spotted the new H&M line, it's the next Garden Collection; The Conscious Collection. It's amazing! All the soft white colors and all the round shapes. I picked a few of favorites to show you, you can see the rest here. I hope it's even more beautiful in real life.

Last Wednesday I went to town near by to buy these flats, I had my eye on them for quite a while. The're so awsome! I immediatley fell in love but I already spend all my money ._. I had to wait untill the end of month and visited the store every week to check if they were still there :') But the're mine now!

Also I couldn't resist the Zara sale (: I'm in love with the color and the cables of the jumper. And you never go wrong with a A-line dress with pockets!

My cape finally arrived! Everyday I came home from school/school I was hoping that their was a package waiting for me. But everyday for 4 weeks their was nothing..Untill last Thursday! I thought it was time for an outfit post again so I made a few shots before I went to school but they are a little bit overexposed :( The boots that I'm wearing are really my favorite shoes but wearing them on new years eve totally ruined them. But luckily my neighbour used to a shoemaker and fixed them for me! So nice (:

Last I thought I had my presentation about Marc Jacobs but my teacher turn out to be sick ._.' So I had it today! A 7,5 out of 10. Pretty good!

A few days ago I found my dad's old camera in a closet, it even had 2 lenses with it and a flash also it had 2 rolls of film with it but those are probaly really old so I don't know if it they still work. I haven't had the time to try it out yet but if I found some working rolls it would be so cool <3.
My first week of school is already over and already I have a lot to do, we have to make a costume for a game, a skirt with the theme 'water' for S/S 2011 and me and a classmate signed up for 'Kunstbende', a competition for young talent. We're going to make a small collection but we already have to show it on March the 5th. It's going to be hard but some much fun. I can't wait to start!

DIY; From jumper to skirt

I saw these skirts a while ago on the cover of the Dutch Elle and the Monki and thought I would be nice to make something like that and do a tutorial about it! This was a very long time ago, I'm always very slow with actually making things that I want..

So what you need; A knitted jumper (got it from the thriftstore!), measuring tape, elastic, scissors, pins (their in the little box) and chalk.

We're starting with the waist band. First measure up your waist, add 2 cm for the seam and decided how wide you want your waist band. I used 20 cm in total ( 8 front, 8 back, 4 seam)

Pin the waist band with the 'good' sides on the outside together on the ends. Make three parts with 2 cm between them (you can make them bigger of smaller, if you want to use different elastic or you can make more/less parts)

Make sure your waistband is the wide you want, fold the leftover fabric inwards, pin it and iron it.

Now grab your jumper and make a line from arm to arm and cut over the line.

Well the jumper was way to big for me so I tried the 'skirt' on and measure how much I needed to take away for a slim fit skirt. I made a line a sewed over the line and cut the left over fabric.

Now pin your waistband onto the skirt, this is quite hard because you got more fabric then waisband. Start with pinning the ends then the middle and then the middle of the middle and so on. You have to make a few folds to divide all the fabric.

When your done with that (make sure everything is stuck) Your can put the elastic through the waistband, I use safety pins. When you're finished with the elastic sew the ends from the waist band and cut it the leftover fabric and try it on!

Sorry not the best pictures but it already started to get dark, I hope you understand a like it! I maybe want to make another one and do a give away with it but only if you guys really like. I don't want to start a give away with only 2 people entering. Let me know!

Happy new year! Already day two in the new year. I had a great time on New year eve, we had a little party at a friend's house and went around 11.45 to the centre of the city and wachted all the fireworks. After jumping around for a hour to congratulate everybody we went to a club and danced untill 6 in the moring. It was a lot of fun :D How did you spend your evening?

I'm still very tired so I wrap myself in my new cardigan, it's so warm <3 Tommorrow school already starts again, I'm a bit nervous because I have to do a presenation about Marc Jacobs tommorrow :x Wish me luck!
